Google continues to upgrade Google Chat even though the platform is not yet truly popular among the general user community.
In addition to improvements in administration and messaging, the company has just introduced a completely new web interface along with a scheduled message sending feature – a tool considered useful for both work and personal life.

Google Chat has its own web address: chat.google.com
Until now, users have had several ways to access Google Chat: through Gmail in a browser, using the link mail.google.com/chat/, or using the Chat app on Android. However, Google says it will add a more familiar and convenient option: chat.google.com.
This standalone web version is optimized for faster loading speeds while retaining the current user interface to avoid confusion. Older access methods still work normally. However, those using the Chrome Chat extension may need to update to be compatible with the new interface.

The scheduled message sending feature – a much-anticipated addition.
The most notable upgrade this time is the ability to schedule messages in Google Chat. This feature, already familiar from Gmail, is now officially available on this chat platform.
Users can:
Schedule messages to be sent in the future.
Set the appointment time up to 120 days in advance.
Manage all scheduled messages in the Chat Drafts section.
Quick access is available via the new shortcuts that have appeared on the left-hand menu bar.
This allows users to be more proactive in their work: sending reminder messages, notifying the team, or planning discussions months in advance.
Google has been testing this feature since last spring, but only now is it being rolled out widely. According to the announcement, the feature will begin appearing today and is expected to be available to all users by the end of the month.
