At least seven people were killed in an airstrike, suspected to have been carried out by Israel, on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on the evening of April 1st. This is considered the most serious airstrike by the Israeli military in Syria in months.
According to the Syrian news agency SANA, the missile strike, carried out by an Israeli military drone, completely destroyed the Iranian consulate building, located right next to the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
