Vietnam and Cuba share journalism experiences in the digital age

On the afternoon of December 2, in Hanoi, the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association, led by comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, worked with the delegation of Prensa Latina led by President Jorge Leganoa Alonso.

Welcoming the Prensa Latina delegation to visit and work in Vietnam on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, comrade Le Quoc Minh affirmed that the close relationship between the press of the two countries has been nurtured through many generations, including many Vietnamese journalists who studied in Cuba.

Sharing about the digital transformation process in Vietnamese journalism, comrade Le Quoc Minh said that digital transformation is not only about investing in technology, but more importantly, it is about innovating thinking, skills, newsroom models and information transmission methods. Vietnam is ready to support Cuba in training, sharing experiences, transferring software and electronic newsroom management tools.

Sincerely thanking comrade Le Quoc Minh for taking the time to receive the delegation, the President of Prensa Latina shared about the unprecedented difficulties that Cuba is facing.

The President of Prensa Latina affirmed that the Cuban press is determined to innovate its operating methods and overcome challenges; expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation and share experiences with Vietnamese press agencies to adapt and develop together in the digital age.

At the end of the working session, the two sides agreed to cooperate closely in professional training, experience sharing, and organizing exchange courses on modern journalism methods and multi-platform journalism.
