Viettel won 6 gold awards at the 2024 International Business Awards

Recently, Viettel won 14 awards at the International Business Awards 2024 (IBA 2024). Specifically, Viettel won 6 Gold awards, 5 Silver awards, and 3 Bronze awards, bringing its total achievements at the IBA since 2016 to nearly 100 awards. Out of 3,600 applications from 63 countries and territories, Viettel's products are increasingly receiving high praise from the judging panel, which consists of prestigious experts from around the world including Google, IBM, Salesforce, Apple, etc. Viettel 's 6 Gold awards cover a wide range of fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and business and operational activities.

Viettel's AI products won a double Gold award with its Virtual Assistant in the "Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Solutions" category and Viettel eKYC in the "Identity and Access Security Solutions" category. Currently, Viettel's virtual assistant is being used effectively in ministries, government agencies, provincial/city governments, and financial enterprises. Viettel's eKYC technology has received the international ISO 30107-3 certification for facial recognition (FaceID) at level 2 – the highest level in the world, equivalent to leading global companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and SenseTime (China's largest AI company)...

Besides its technology products, Viettel was also honored with a Gold award in the fields of logistics, communications, and marketing. Lumitel (Viettel Burundi) was honored as Company of the Year in the telecommunications sector. After more than 10 years of operation, Lumitel now holds 64% of the mobile market share with over 5 million customers, becoming one of the leading mobile network operators in Burundi.

The IBA 2024 attracted 3,600 applications from 63 countries and territories. The evaluation process took place from May to August 2024, based on the average scores of over 300 experts worldwide. The awards ceremony will be held in Türkiye on October 11th.
