VIMC makes its mark at Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam 2025

The awards ceremony took place solemnly on the evening of June 22, 2025, at the Army Theater (Hanoi). Representing VIMC – Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung attended and received the prestigious award on behalf of the Corporation.

Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung represented VIMC at the ceremony honoring the Top Industry 4.0 in Vietnam 2025 and received the award in the Digital Transformation and Innovation category.

The "Top Industry 4.0 in Vietnam" program, chaired by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, in collaboration with the Vietnam Automation Association, the Institute for Innovation and Digital Transformation, and other relevant agencies, is organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Trade . The event is considered one of the prestigious activities in promoting the application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation – important pillars in the national socio-economic development strategy as directed by Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030.

VIMC is promoting the application of digital technology in all areas of its operations, gradually building a modern, connected, and transparent maritime and logistics ecosystem.

As a leading enterprise in Vietnam's maritime industry, VIMC recognizes that digital transformation is not only an inevitable trend but also a crucial driving force for improving management efficiency, optimizing operations, and developing value-added services. In 2024, the Corporation simultaneously implemented numerous modern technological solutions: upgrading the electronic office system with integrated intelligent reporting (BI), building an internal knowledge base, developing centralized human resource management software, and standardizing operational processes directly related to customers. Notably, many member units have boldly applied technology in practice: 15 enterprises implemented CRM, the port sector put into operation e-Port and Auto Gate, the transportation sector applied electronic delivery orders (eDO) and an automated fuel control system, while logistics enterprises adopted advanced warehouse management software. These solutions not only contribute to enhancing competitiveness but also strengthen the foundation of transparent, flexible, and modern governance throughout the entire system.

Alongside digital transformation, VIMC is also a leading unit in innovation. In 2024, the entire system recorded nearly 3,300 initiatives, of which over 2,300 were implemented in practice, generating an estimated benefit of nearly 52 billion VND. The Kaizen movement and continuous improvement programs have been widely implemented, fostering a spirit of daring to think and act among the staff and employees.

The effectiveness of digital transformation and innovation has significantly contributed to VIMC's outstanding business results in 2024. The consolidated profit of the entire corporation reached approximately VND 3,510 billion, a 65% increase compared to the same period last year and exceeding the annual plan by 28%; the total profit of the entire system is estimated at VND 4,940 billion. These figures further affirm VIMC's leading role in the field of maritime transport, port operations, and logistics services in Vietnam.

Innovation has become the driving force for growth at VIMC, with thousands of initiatives being implemented in practice and business performance showing impressive growth in 2024.

Being recognized in the “Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam 2025” is not only a milestone acknowledging VIMC's pioneering efforts in digital transformation and innovation, but also affirms the Corporation's strong commitment to realizing the major policies and directions of the Party and Government. With a desire for sustainable, modern, and integrated development, VIMC continues to promote the application of technology, build a comprehensive digital logistics and maritime ecosystem, contributing to enhancing national competitiveness and propelling Vietnam strongly onto the global maritime economic map.
