In recent days, prolonged heavy rains have caused garbage, trees and many materials from upstream to be swept away by floodwaters, getting stuck densely under the foot of the bridge, blocking the flow. The large amount of garbage blocking the water flow has caused the water level to rise, potentially threatening the An Trach dam, threatening the safety of crops and nearby residential areas.

Faced with that situation, Colonel Tran Huu Ich directed the Defense Command of Area 1 - Cam Le and the Military Command of Hoa Tien commune to mobilize nearly 100 officers, soldiers, regular militia and local troops to coordinate with the authorities to quickly deploy and overcome the situation.
Authorities have organized to collect, haul away trash, saw off large trees stuck under the bridge, and clear the flow to reduce water pressure from upstream. At the same time, units have deployed forces on duty 24/7 to monitor the development of floods and rains, ready to respond when more complicated situations occur.

A representative of the Military Command of Hoa Tien commune said that timely handling helped clear the flow, limiting the risk of landslides and spillway failures, ensuring the safety of the project as well as crops and property of people in the downstream area.
Currently, the recovery work is still being urgently coordinated by the forces, in the weather conditions of continued heavy rain.
