Disciplinary case of teachers violating regulations: Principal transferred school, teacher stayed

TPO - Regarding the case of the principal disciplining a teacher against regulations in Ca Mau, the Principal of Khanh Hung Secondary School has been transferred to another school, and the disciplined teacher has been accepted back to the school to continue teaching.

Speaking with Tien Phong reporter , Mr. Nguyen Vu Tan, a teacher at Khanh Hung Secondary School (formerly Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province) said that he was allowed to return to the school to continue teaching from July 1. All his benefits have been restored as before.

“I am very happy to be able to teach again. I am only concerned about my salary and related benefits during the time I was disciplined incorrectly. Who is responsible for the additional payments?” said Mr. Tan.

Regarding the case of improper disciplinary action against a teacher, Mr. Truong Hung Cao, the principal of Khanh Hung Secondary School, has been transferred to the position of deputy principal of Khanh Loc Secondary School.

As Tien Phong reported, Mr. Truong Hung Cao - Principal of Khanh Hung Secondary School was accused of disciplining teachers in violation of regulations. Later, the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi District (old) verified and concluded that the accusation was partially correct.

Accordingly, Mr. Cao's discipline of teacher Nguyen Vu Tan without holding a review meeting and without reporting to the District People's Committee was against regulations; the decision to force Mr. Tan to quit his job was also not in accordance with the law.

Besides, Mr. Nguyen Vu Tan, although he submitted an application for unpaid leave, but the school did not approve it, so he left on his own, which is not in accordance with regulations.

Since then, the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi district has directed relevant units to review the responsibility of Mr. Truong Hung Cao ; re-implement the disciplinary process of Mr. Nguyen Vu Tan for voluntarily quitting his job without permission.

Immediately after the article "Reviewing the principal for disciplining teachers in violation of regulations" published by Tien Phong newspaper , the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province directed relevant units to review and handle violations (if any) in accordance with regulations, and report to the Provincial People's Committee.
