Vu Quynh Trang confidently performs in a national costume weighing nearly 20kg

(Dan Tri) - A female lecturer from the Diplomatic Academy proudly shouted out "Vietnam" twice during the national costume competition at the Miss Tourism International 2024 pageant taking place in Malaysia.

Vu Quynh Trang appeared radiantly at the National Costume Performance of the Miss Tourism International 2024 pageant that recently took place in Malaysia. The beauty from Hanoi wore a design with a size and weight of nearly 20kg, called East Sea Dance by designer Huynh Tan Phat.

The costumes are designed with inspiration from the diversity and richness of Vietnam's seas. The coastlines stretching across the S-shaped strip of land are delicately expressed through details such as the image of nets heavy with colorful schools of fish, representing the bountiful harvest of fishermen amidst the rolling waves.

The East Sea Dance is crafted with meticulous attention to every detail using epoxy resin pouring techniques, hand dyeing and elaborate attachment techniques.

From Malaysia, Vu Quynh Trang shared with Dan Tri reporter: "To talk about the journey of preparing for the contest, over the past 2 years, I have been constantly trying to equip myself with knowledge and valuable practical experience when hosting TV programs. I became a content creator in the culinary and tourism fields to connect with many young generations and took on the role of a communications lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy.

Besides, I am lucky to have a team to help me and prepare everything so that when I participate in this beauty contest, I can confidently perform my best in the competitions.

My dream is to become a cultural and tourism ambassador for Vietnam and winning the crown at the Miss Tourism International 2024 contest will help me reach that dream."

According to Vu Quynh Trang, she currently only has 5 hours of rest a day due to her busy schedule. However, every morning she wakes up with excitement and determination to compete with all her might. The beauty hopes that the home audience will support her mentally so that she will have more motivation and confidence.

The Miss Tourism International 2024 pageant will be held in Malaysia from November 29 to December 15. The finale will be held on December 13.
