Teacher assaulting colleague: School asks police to intervene

The school requested the Department of Education and Training and the police to intervene and handle the case of a teacher being physically assaulted by a colleague in front of many students at a high school in Dak Lak.

On October 7, information from Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Ea O commune, Dak Lak ; formerly Ea Kar district, Dak Lak) said that the school had sent a report to the Department of Education and Training and the police to review and handle the case of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury that occurred on school grounds.

According to a report from Vo Nguyen Giap High School, the incident occurred while Mr. NTS was performing his duties of checking student discipline and monitoring order as assigned by the Board of Directors on October 3.

At around 7:10 a.m. on October 3, Mr. S. reminded Mr. D.T., a math teacher, about parking his motorbike in the wrong place in the school yard. Instead of cooperating, Mr. T. reacted harshly, using threatening words and physically attacking his colleague. Specifically, Mr. T. used his hand to squeeze Mr. S.'s neck twice in front of the school security and several students.

The incident caused Mr. S. to suffer a neck injury, affecting his psychology and teaching. The incident also caused psychological shock to the students who witnessed it, seriously affecting the safe educational environment; causing disorder on school grounds during working hours.

Vo Nguyen Giap High School requested the Department of Education and Training to consider and handle the case, conduct an investigation, and verify the intentional act of causing injury and disturbing public order of teacher D.T.

In addition, during the performance of teaching and meeting duties, teacher D.T always had aggressive behaviors and gestures, looked down on students, looked down on others, and arbitrarily left meetings in the middle without asking anyone's permission.

The school's board of directors requests that the competent authority take strict measures in accordance with the provisions of the law to deter, educate, and ensure the safety of life, health, and honor of cadres, teachers, employees, and students in order to maintain order and discipline in the educational environment.
