Verifying clip of boy being pushed headfirst into swimming pool by man in Hanoi

On August 16, social networks spread a post and clip recording a scene of a boy swimming at a swimming pool in Quang An ward, Tay Ho district, Hanoi .

According to the clip, a man wearing white clothes yelled and cursed at a child and forced the child to apologize to his son.

Not stopping there, the man also stepped into the pool and used his hand to push the boy’s head under the water for a few seconds. This action frightened the boy, who cried and immediately ran out to apologize as requested by the man.

The Commander of Quang An Ward Police said that the authorities have grasped the case and are coordinating with Tay Ho District Police to organize verification.

According to the leader, local police are inviting the child's parents and the man involved in the incident to the headquarters to work. Through initial verification, authorities determined that the man in the clip is not a resident of the area.
