Successfully built more than 1,700 environmentally friendly residential areas

Reporting at the conference on the above topic organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of June 27, a representative of the City Front said that in the period of 2022 - 2024, the city has coordinated to implement 16 programs and solutions to successfully build 1,722 clean, green and environmentally friendly residential areas, reaching more than 172% of the set target.

To effectively implement the work, the Fatherland Front system at all levels has coordinated with the government, departments, offices and member organizations to propose groups of solutions such as propaganda; encouragement, resource mobilization; inspection and supervision. Thereby, it has received support and financial conditions from local authorities; close coordination from unions of wards, communes, towns and the Front Working Committees of residential areas along with the response of organizations, businesses and communities in the city.

Previously, within the framework of the 4th Green Living Festival, the City People's Committee commended 50 residential areas and 50 wards, communes and towns with outstanding achievements in building clean, green and environmentally friendly residential areas, wards, communes and towns.
