Previously, the fire broke out at around 8:00 p.m. the same day on Tu Van Phuoc Street, An Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
At that time, a truck carrying wood chips was traveling on Tu Van Phuoc road in the direction from Thuan Giao small market towards DT 743 road.
When the car arrived in front of a fashion store and was only about 50 meters from Highway 743, the wood inside the car suddenly caught fire.
Upon discovering the fire, the driver quickly stopped the vehicle and, along with dozens of local residents and authorities, used mini fire extinguishers and water hoses from nearby houses to try and put out the fire on the spot, but without success.

The driver then drove the car a short distance away from the fashion store to prevent the fire from spreading. Upon receiving the report, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Fire and Rescue Force dispatched a fire truck and nearly 10 officers and soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Two of the soldiers had to wear gas masks to approach the fire and spray water into the truck to prevent the fire from spreading.
An Phu ward authorities also blocked off the road where the fire broke out, and vehicles were instructed to move in another direction.

After about 40 minutes, the fire was completely controlled. There were no human casualties but the fire burned a lot of wood on the car. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
