According to the draw results, the Vietnam U23 team is in Group B with Cambodia and Laos. Coach Kim Sang-sik's team will face Laos U23 on July 19th and Cambodia U23 on July 22nd. To prepare, the Vietnam U23 team is currently training in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
Recently, coach Kim Sang-sik narrowed down the Vietnam U23 squad from 36 to 28 players. According to the plan, before departing for Indonesia for the tournament, he will finalize the list of 23 players as per regulations.
The Southeast Asian U23 Championship is considered an opportunity for Vietnam to hone its skills and prepare for the important goal of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in 2025. The Vietnam U23 team is among the top seeded teams in the regional sporting event.
