Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , a representative from SCTV4 said that Journey to the West – the classic television series released in 1986 – will return to the channel at 8 PM daily starting June 30th.

Meanwhile, the film Pigsy: Havoc in the New World has a scheduled release date of June 21st. The film is directed by Golden Bell Award-winning director Qiu Liwei.

Movie Journey to the West (directed by Yang Jie) is adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Wu Cheng'en.

The film tells the story of Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Seng accompanying Tang Seng on his journey to the West (India) to obtain Buddhist scriptures.
