3 days, earned 7 billion VND from selling ginseng and OCOP products

Many tourists come to visit and buy Ngoc Linh ginseng at the festival.

The 6th Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival in 2024, with the theme "Ngoc Linh - Forever proud", takes place from August 1-3 with 5 main activities including: Opening program and art performance; Ngoc Linh ginseng market and typical agricultural and forestry products of mountainous Quang Nam province; Ngoc Linh ginseng competition - Ngoc Linh ginseng auction; pole performance competition; folk dance competition.

In addition to the main programs above, the festival also has activities such as: taking visitors to visit tourist attractions in the district, taking tourists to explore Ngoc Linh ginseng area, traditional cultural games typical of ethnic minorities, and mountain cuisine booths.

Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Vice Chairman of Nam Tra My District People's Committee said that the festival attracted more than 10,000 visitors to visit, shop and participate in activities, with more than 50 booths selling Ngoc Linh ginseng products and OCOP products typical of the mountainous region. According to statistics from the organizing committee, the revenue during the 3 days of the festival is estimated at more than 7 billion VND. Ngoc Linh ginseng alone sold about 70kg, earning nearly 6 billion VND.

At the festival, Nam Tra My also organized the announcement and release of the logo of Nam Tra My district.

Rewarding many individuals and groups with achievements in the festival.

This is also an opportunity for local people and businesses growing, exploiting and processing Ngoc Linh ginseng to introduce and promote regional products and is also a place to exchange experiences in cultivation, production, business, trade promotion, and ensure the quality of Ngoc Linh ginseng products.

In particular, in this festival, 11 households, individuals and businesses donated prize-winning ginseng roots to the auction organizers to collect more than 360 million VND to use for the demolition of temporary houses in response to the call of the Provincial Party Secretary.

On this occasion, the District People's Committee commended many individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in their work at the festival.
