50 thousand people received humanitarian aid

- On the morning of June 26, at the Royal Plaza Center, Tuyen Quang, the Provincial Red Cross Association (RCA) held a conference to review the work of the Association and the Red Cross movement in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks for the last 6 months of the year; and summarize the Humanitarian Month.

In the first six months of 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Society performed well in social welfare and humanitarian work, providing practical assistance to many disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, disaster prevention and response, and humanitarian relief in the province, totaling 26.8 billion VND, assisting over 50,000 people. Specifically, the "Compassionate Tet" campaign organized the donation of 29,084 gift packages to poor households, victims of Agent Orange, policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious services, and other beneficiaries, benefiting over 40,000 people, achieving 162% of the mobilized value, totaling 16.218 billion VND across the province; exceeding 200% of the planned number of beneficiaries; and in coordination with the Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group, sponsored 6,900 Tet gift packages, each worth 600,000 VND, totaling 4.140 billion VND…

The Provincial Red Cross Society has determined that in the last six months of the year, it will coordinate with relevant agencies and units to successfully organize the activities of the "Red Journey" program with the message "Connecting Vietnamese Bloodlines" taking place in the province in 2025; organize a conference to commend and honor sponsors on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2025); and mobilize sponsors, organizations, and individuals to support humanitarian activities through the Red Cross branches at all levels.

The conference also summarized the results of the 2025 Humanitarian Month. The total value of the "Humanitarian Month" activities in the province in 2025 reached over 4.8 billion VND, achieving 283% of the target; the number of beneficiaries exceeded 3,000 people, reaching 150% of the target; and the number of blood units received exceeded 400% of the plan.
