The 2024 Korean Food Festival is taking place at Saigon Riverfront Park (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) until October 20th.

Bringing Korean cuisine closer to Vietnamese people.

With over 40 stalls, diners can experience a variety of familiar Korean dishes such as rice cakes, Korean fish cakes, fried chicken, Korean pears, rice milk, soju, and more.

Many stalls allow customers to sample food for free, especially unusual items like dried pollock and Korean snacks.

Many products are sold at discounted prices, and promotional programs make them more accessible to customers.

"We hope that the Vietnamese people will show more interest in Korean food, so that the friendship between the people of the two countries will become even stronger," said Ms. Jung Gayeon, Vice Consul General of the Republic of Korea, at the opening ceremony.

To add to the excitement, the organizers distributed "passes" to visitors to stamp after experiencing some of the stalls.

By collecting enough wooden blocks, participants will receive many attractive prizes.

Participants can also experience cultural activities such as singing and dancing K-pop covers; trying on Korean school uniforms; a noodle-making competition; and a kimchi-making workshop.

Bich Lien (Thu Duc City) said: "I feel like I'm in a Korean drama when I wear this school uniform."

Visiting the festival helped me learn more about Korean cuisine, and also allowed me to try many new and interesting dishes from our country."

Lou Hoang and LyLy both like Korean food.

At the festival, the K-food Wonderful Music Festival featured performances by singers Lou Hoang, LyLy, Amee, and Noo Phuoc Thinh.

Lou Hoang said he really likes spicy rice cakes and hopes to try them in Korea.

However, during a trip to another country, because he didn't know Korean, he mistakenly ordered cold noodles instead, missing the chance to try the authentic spicy rice cakes.

From then on, Lou Hoang was determined to learn the language and learn more about Korean culture.

Singer LyLy revealed that she often cooks Korean food at home, especially kimbap, because it's simple and delicious.

Amee performed songs with her sweet voice and captivating dance moves, but due to time constraints, she couldn't share her story with the diners.

Noo Phuoc Thinh performed the song "Destiny ," a song with a melody reminiscent of a Korean drama soundtrack.

The male singer said he was very happy that many diners came to experience the festival despite the bad weather, which shows the interest and love of Vietnamese people for Korean cuisine.

On October 20th, a kimchi-making workshop and a K-pop dance cover competition will take place at the 2024 Korean Food Festival .
