Bac Giang: Free swimming lessons for children of union members, workers and civil servants in difficult circumstances

BAC GIANG - On the morning of June 23, in Bac Giang city, the Provincial Trade Union Labor Counseling and Support Center coordinated with the Trade Union of Ha Bac Fertilizer and Chemical Joint Stock Company to open a free swimming class to prevent drowning for children of union members, workers and civil servants in difficult circumstances in 2025.

Drowning accidents are currently a worrying issue, especially for children during the summer. Therefore, equipping children with swimming skills and knowledge to prevent drowning is very necessary.

28 students are children of union members, workers and civil servants with difficult circumstances and are taught swimming for free.

Free swimming course for 28 students who are children of union members, workers and civil servants in difficult circumstances. In 12 lessons (each lesson lasts 1.5 hours), the teachers teach the children basic swimming skills such as: Getting acquainted, practicing breathing properly when in contact with water; common swimming techniques, breaststroke; how to handle drowning due to cramps, dangerous and unexpected situations; first aid for drowning people...

Students are instructed in basic swimming movements.

Through the class, children learn to swim, protect themselves and help others when in danger underwater. At the same time, they practice physical training, improve health, strengthen discipline; create a useful and healthy playing environment for children during the summer.
