Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity deploys tasks for the last 3 months of the year

At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department reported on the situation and results of the Steering Committee's activities during the first nine months of the year; outlined some key tasks for the last three months of the year; discussed the direction and handling of cases and incidents under the Steering Committee's continued monitoring and guidance; and the meeting participants discussed, provided feedback, and clarified any remaining issues and obstacles.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention, chaired the meeting.

According to assessments, over the past nine months, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative practices has seen positive changes; the number of cases and incidents related to corruption and negative practices has decreased. Inspection, supervision, and auditing work has been focused, targeted, and comprehensive, especially in sensitive areas prone to corruption and negative practices such as public investment, auctions, and bidding. Coordination among prosecuting agencies has been close; advice has been provided to the Provincial Party Standing Committee to effectively implement the conclusions of the Central Committee, notably the timely rectification of shortcomings, limitations, and violations in Conclusion No. 1027/KL-TTCP dated April 28, 2023, of the Government Inspectorate and Notice No. 693-TB-UBKTTW dated June 26, 2024, of the Central Inspection Committee. The Provincial Party Standing Committee's advisory body directed the development and implementation of a plan to study the ideology of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong throughout the province, as well as organizing conferences to research and study the late General Secretary's ideology in conjunction with the implementation of regulations on power control and the prevention and combating of corruption and negative practices in lawmaking. The focus was on promptly handling corruption and negative practice cases, creating positive public opinion among the people, officials, and Party members.

Directing the key tasks for the last three months of the year, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Steering Committee and its members to continue closely monitoring the remaining tasks according to the 2024 program and the specific tasks assigned, proactively coordinating closely and promptly advising on effective implementation to complete the set work plan. They should continue to promote and improve the effectiveness of propaganda and education , building a culture of integrity, free from corruption and negative practices; direct the rectification and fight against the "fear of responsibility" among cadres and Party members, especially leading and managing cadres at all levels; and implement strong measures to effectively overcome the situation of harassment and inconvenience caused to citizens and businesses.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention, delivered a speech at the meeting.

Media outlets and newspapers actively disseminated information extensively on the fight against corruption and negative phenomena; especially promoting the exemplary revolutionary ethics, simple, pure, and honest lifestyle, dedicated, scientific , thorough, and decisive work style; the guiding thoughts and viewpoints of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on the fight against corruption and negative phenomena; and affirming the determination, continuous, unwavering, resolute, and persistent fight against corruption and negative phenomena by General Secretary and President To Lam, creating widespread influence in society and strengthening the people's trust in the Party and State's determination to fight corruption and negative phenomena. The Provincial Party Secretary also requested that Party committees, governments, and functional agencies at all levels strengthen coordination to direct the handling and resolution of emerging cases in the area; Review and examine complex and protracted cases, clearly identifying the causes to focus on directing their resolution based on policies and laws, reflecting the true nature of the cases, and aligning with practical realities to ensure stability in preparation for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the elections of People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, the 14th National Congress of the Party, and the elections of National Assembly representatives for the 16th term. Continue to direct the strengthening of administrative procedure reform, effectively implementing digital transformation, especially Project 06 on the application of science and technology in the management and operation of state agencies and in handling applications for citizens and businesses; publicly disclose the process, procedures, and timeframes for resolving issues on electronic information websites to serve businesses and citizens conveniently, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
