Quang Tri Newspaper - Economic and Urban Newspaper donates computers to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This morning, July 19th, Quang Tri Newspaper, in collaboration with Kinh Te va Do Thi Newspaper, organized a computer donation ceremony for Hoang Tan Loc (born in 2008) from Gia Do village, Trieu Do commune, a student in class 11B at Nguyen Huu Than High School, Trieu Phong district.

The difficult circumstances of Hoang Tan Loc were highlighted in the "Addresses in Need of Help" section of the Quang Tri newspaper on November 5, 2022. His father passed away early, and his mother remarried, leaving the three siblings, Hoang Tan Phuc (born in 2002), Hoang Thi Na (born in 2004), and Hoang Tan Loc (born in 2008), orphaned and dependent on the care and support of their elderly grandparents.

Currently, Hoang Tan Phuc is a third-year student at the University of Agriculture and Forestry ( Hue University); Hoang Thi Na is a second-year student at the University of Economics, Hue. For many years, both of them have had to work part-time while studying to cover their living expenses, rent, and textbooks.

The computers donated this time are worth over 10 million VND, thanks to the efforts of the Economic and Urban Newspaper in securing sponsorship from Thanh Giong Computer Company (Hanoi).

"This is a very meaningful and practical gift that helps me have better conditions for studying. I am very happy and would like to express my gratitude to Quang Tri Newspaper, Kinh Te va Do Thi Newspaper, and all the benefactors who have regularly cared for, shared with, and helped my family over the past time. These gifts are also a source of encouragement and motivation for me and my siblings to continue overcoming difficulties and striving for excellence in our studies and training," said Hoang Tan Loc.

This computer donation is part of a series of activities under the "July Charity" Program in 2024, organized by Quang Tri Newspaper in collaboration with Kinh Te va Do Thi Newspaper, with a total budget of over 500 million VND.
