Hanoi Museum temporarily closes to visitors

VHO - Temporarily closed to visitors from July 15 and expected to reopen from August 6. That is the announcement of Hanoi Museum, posted on the Museum's Facebook page.

With many innovative efforts in recent times, Hanoi Museum attracts a large number of visitors, gradually becoming a unique creative space in the heart of the capital.

Accordingly, the Hanoi Museum said the reason for temporarily stopping receiving visitors is to focus on the construction of a thematic exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025). The exhibition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi People's Committee.

The Hanoi Museum construction project officially started in May 2008 on Pham Hung Street, Hanoi. The museum has a total area of 53,963 m2, with a height of over 30 m, including 4 floors above ground and 2 basements. The 4th floor has the largest area, the lower floors gradually become smaller following the inverted pyramid architecture. This is a modern project with a construction cost of over 2,300 billion VND.

Hanoi Museum currently preserves more than 70,000 documents and artifacts of various types and materials. These are valuable cultural heritages, introducing the thousands of years of development history of Thang Long - Hanoi.

The exhibition space has many innovations and creativity.

With many innovative efforts in recent times, especially in exhibition, interaction, experience and creative activities, Hanoi Museum has attracted a large number of visitors, transformed strongly and gradually become a unique creative space in the heart of the capital.

Director of Hanoi Museum Nguyen Tien Da said that in recent years, the Museum has continuously made efforts to innovate in displaying and organizing activities.

Along with perfecting the regular exhibition system, the Museum has implemented many activities such aseducation , experience, art exhibition, organizing art performances combined with technology application. Thanks to that, the number of visitors to the Museum is increasing, especially young people.
