Road maintenance contributes to economic development

That was the opinion of Deputy Director of Vietnam Road Administration Nguyen Thanh Hoai at the launching ceremony of road maintenance management in 2025.

On the afternoon of February 7th, at the Truong Vinh tunnel area on the Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway, the Road Management Area II and Project Management Board 4 (under the Vietnam Road Administration) held a ceremony to launch the implementation of road maintenance management work for 2025.

Delegates along with civil servants, public employees and workers attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Quang Thanh, Director of Road Management Area II, said that this is a traditional activity of the Vietnamese road transport industry.

The ceremony aimed to motivate and encourage all officials, civil servants, employees, investors, project management boards, supervisory consultants, construction contractors, road maintenance contractors, and related agencies and units to overcome difficulties and strive to complete projects on schedule, contributing to the successful achievement of the planned objectives.

This activity also demonstrates the urgent, enthusiastic, and highly determined spirit of the entire sector in general, and of the civil servants, employees, and workers of the Road Management Area II and Project Management Board 4 in particular, in implementing tasks with a spirit of innovation, decisiveness, discipline, and quality.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai, Deputy Director of Vietnam Road Administration, emphasized the importance of road maintenance.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration, emphasized that among the five types of transport in our country, road transport accounts for 70% of passenger transport and up to 90% of freight transport. This proves that the road sector plays a very important role.

“The road sector, especially maintenance work, contributes greatly to stabilizing people's lives, developing the economy and ensuring national security and defense,” Mr. Hoai emphasized.

Following the launch ceremony, maintenance units along the Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway simultaneously commenced maintenance work on the route.

Delegates presented gifts to engineers, workers and laborers of the Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway maintenance unit.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Road Administration, gave lucky money to workers and laborers on the occasion of the New Year of At Ty 2025.
