On June 1st, information from the Nam Dinh Provincial Border Guard Command indicated that the unit had just arrested an individual involved in a human trafficking ring that transported people from Nam Dinh (Vietnam) to Myanmar for forced labor.
Recently, the Border Guard of Nam Dinh province, in coordination with the Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Border Guard Command), the Provincial Police, and the People's Procuratorate of Nam Dinh province, has been leading a special operation to investigate and combat individuals involved in a human trafficking ring that transported people from Nam Dinh (Vietnam) to Myanmar for forced labor.

After a period of intensive and urgent investigation, employing various professional methods, the Border Guard of Nam Dinh province investigated and clarified the criminal acts of the suspect, and arrested Nguyen Thi Hang, born in 1980, residing in Ha Hai commune, Ha Trung district ( Thanh Hoa province), on charges of "human trafficking," as stipulated in Article 150 of the Penal Code.
During questioning, Nguyen Thi Hang confessed to colluding with several individuals in Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh provinces, using the deceptive tactic of promising "easy work and high pay" to recruit, transport, and transfer seven people (two from Nam Dinh province, four from Thanh Hoa province, and one from Hoa Binh province) from Vietnam to Thailand, and then illegally to Myanmar for forced labor, in order to profit illegally.
The Border Guard of Nam Dinh province has decided to initiate criminal proceedings for the act of "human trafficking," as stipulated in Clause 3, Article 150 of the Penal Code; and handed over the evidence, files, and suspects to the Nam Dinh Provincial Police for further investigation within their jurisdiction.
