Arresting directors and accountants of 9 businesses illegally buying and selling invoices worth more than 500 billion

On the evening of June 15, Lang Son Provincial Police announced that the agency had just issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Than Tien Huy (41 years old, residing in Dong Tan commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son) for the crime of "illegally buying and selling invoices", stipulated in Article 203 of the 2015 Penal Code, amended and supplemented in 2017.

Lang Son Provincial Police executed a search warrant against Than Tien Huy.

For the same crime, Lang Son Provincial Police also prosecuted and temporarily detained 12 other defendants who are directors and accountants of 8 related enterprises.

Previously, Lang Son Provincial Police discovered that a number of businesses in the area had signs of illegally buying and selling value-added invoices to legalize the origin of purchased goods to evade taxes and disburse overdue bank loans.

Establishing a special investigation project, Lang Son Provincial Police simultaneously arrested and searched the 13 suspects mentioned above.

Initially, Lang Son Provincial Police determined that from 2019 to present, Huy, the Director of Construction Company 389, has bought and sold thousands of value-added invoices with many individuals and businesses inside and outside the province. The value of goods recorded on the invoices is particularly large, up to more than 500 billion VND.

Lang Son Provincial Police are expanding the investigation of the case to handle the suspects according to regulations.
