Surprised with the amount of E10 gasoline consumed after 1 month of piloting

After a month of piloting the sale of E10 RON95 gasoline in Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City, many positive reports have been recorded.

According to a representative of the Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL), as of August 27 - at the pilot petrol stations, customers have become familiar with the new product, E10 RON95 petrol.

"The number of customers buying this product remains stable as when buying E5 RON92 gasoline. From August 1 to August 27, 2025, the sales volume of E10 gasoline at PVOIL Hanoi and PVOIL Hai Phong gas stations both recorded a rate of 15% compared to the total gasoline sales volume" - PVOIL informed.

Following the pilot program of producing and distributing E10 RON95 gasoline in Hanoi and Hai Phong , PVOIL has completed procedures to blend and distribute E10 RON95 gasoline in the Central region.

E10 RON95 gasoline blending is carried out at Dung Quat Petroleum Depot - PVOIL Quang Ngai . This is a strategic petroleum depot, directly connected to the delivery system of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the E10 RON95 gasoline blending system is synchronized with modern technology, the blending capacity reaches more than 15,000 m3/month. E10 RON95 gasoline products produced at PVOIL Quang Ngai will be distributed to customers and retail gas stations in the Central region.

From August 28, 2025, PVOIL Central officially sells E10 RON95 gasoline at 2 gas stations in Da Nang city and 3 gas stations in Quang Ngai province.

As the demand for E10 gasoline increases in the Central region, PVOIL also has petroleum warehouses to blend E10 gasoline in Lien Chieu - Da Nang, Chan May - Thua Thien Hue and Vung Ro - Dak Lak; ensuring adequate supply of E10 gasoline for customers in the Central region and the Central Highlands.

According to a representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), the unit currently sells E10 gasoline at 36 gas stations in Ho Chi Minh City. On average, the unit consumes about 40m3 of E10 gasoline per day, double the amount when it first launched. By the end of August 31, Petrolimex had consumed nearly 1,500m3. However, the amount of E10 gasoline consumed was only equivalent to 1/10 of RON95 gasoline.

According to a survey by Lao Dong, at PVOIL, the price of E10 RON95-III gasoline is 20,080 VND/liter. The price of E10 RON95-III gasoline in the adjustment session on August 28 increased by 240 VND/liter compared to the adjustment session on August 21.

At the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), the price of E10 RON95-III gasoline in region 1 is 20,080 VND/liter. The price of E10 RON95-III gasoline in region 2 is 20,480 VND/liter.
