In his opening remarks, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Ninh Binh-Trang An Festival in 2023, emphasized: During the recent Festival, with many unique cultural activities that were highly interconnected and widespread, organized with a different approach and a perspective full of regional heritage colors but also full of the spirit of the times, Ninh Binh province truly lived in a vibrant and joyful festival atmosphere with a series of cultural and heritage events that were artistic and impressive.

In the second edition of the Ninh Binh Festival, cultural and artistic activities have undergone many innovations and creative changes, offering viewers multi-faceted approaches to the nation's cultural and natural heritage. This aims to build the Ninh Binh Festival into a truly international brand – a place that connects, gathers, honors, and spreads the typical cultural and heritage values ​​of the nation and humanity, contributing the first steps in the vision of building a cultural industry and a millennium heritage city in Ninh Binh province.

The 2nd Ninh Binh - Trang An Festival in 2023 marked the first time Ninh Binh province aimed to socialize the organization of the festival. Activities were organized in an open manner, increasing interaction with the community, allowing locals and tourists to directly watch and participate in the festival's events. With a positive, proactive, respectful, and hospitable spirit, Ninh Binh province collaborated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , and other agencies, units, and businesses to organize the festival's programs and events safely, uniquely, and successfully.

On behalf of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Ninh Binh-Trang An Festival in 2023 expressed gratitude to the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front for their attention, attendance, encouragement, and guiding remarks; and thanked the Central Committees, Ministries, branches, and organizations, as well as the provinces, cities, and people for their cooperation, assistance, and support in organizing the Festival.

Ninh Binh Province also acknowledges and thanks the sponsors who have accompanied and supported the successful organization of the Festival's activities. In particular, thanks are Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise; Hyundai Thanh Cong; Military Bank; Kim Dong Construction Enterprise; Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area; Vietnam National Petroleum Group; and thanks to the central and local news agencies, press, and media companies that attended, reported, and promoted the event, contributing significantly to its success. The province recognizes and commends the agencies and units within the province that have made the utmost effort and demonstrated the highest sense of responsibility to ensure the Festival's successful execution.

Following this, the Northern and Central Vietnam cultural heritage program was presented on a live stage at the Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area. Using artistic language combined with a cast of local actors, a large-scale prop system, and advanced sound and lighting equipment, the program brought viewers a wealth of emotions and a sense of exhilaration.

Part 1: The cultural heritage of Northern Vietnam has been staged and performed on a real-life stage. The finest elements of heritage art: Cheo, Ca Tru, Xam, Quan Ho, Hat Van... combined with traditional folk elements recreate the essence of Northern Vietnamese culture. With rich imprints of folk performing arts, the art forms of the inhabitants of the Northern Delta reflect a rich and profound spiritual and cultural life, both subtle and clever, witty and free-spirited, through the melodies and lyrics of folk art works with a cheerful, bright, and heartfelt tone...

Part 2: The cultural heritage of Central Vietnam introduced the audience to the folk songs of Nghe Tinh, the Mai Nhi folk songs, and the Hau Van Hue songs – intangible cultural heritage created and passed down through the process of labor and production, closely intertwined with the daily life of the communities in Central Vietnam. Through various techniques of staging, theater, and music, these traditional art forms were presented as the voice of willpower, strength, and the resonant echoes of heartfelt emotions, love of life, and passion for creative work. These are precious gems in the treasure trove of Vietnamese folk art, continuously created, preserved, and spread by generations of Vietnamese people, contributing to the unity in diversity of the diverse and rich cultural landscape of Vietnam.

Part 3: Connecting Heritage - Welcoming the New Year - Countdown is about connecting, inheriting, and promoting those beautiful cultural heritage values ​​so that the national cultural stream becomes increasingly vibrant, connecting traditional and modern national culture, traditional music genres, performed by contemporary artists with new creativity and experimentation, as an affirmation that memories of the countryside, memories of our ancestors' heritage will forever remain in contemporary life and be a source leading to the future...

The proud melodies emanating from the ancient capital of Vietnam, from the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, to the Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area, concluded the closing art program of the 2nd Ninh Binh-Trang An Festival 2023, welcoming the new year 2024 with renewed hope and enthusiasm.
