On the morning of October 15, at the Training-Mobility Battalion, the Provincial Border Guard Command (BĐBP) organized the closing ceremony of a border guard training course for border protection officers of the Military Command of Hua Phan Province (Laos).

Attending the closing ceremony were: Colonel Phan Si - Xon Mi Xay, Political Commissar of the Military Command of Hua Phan Province (Laos); Le Van Nam, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Command of Thanh Hoa Province.

From September 17 to October 15, 2024, the Provincial Border Guard Command organized training for 20 border protection officers of the Hua Phan Provincial Military Command (Laos). The training results were in accordance with the content and program as planned with training contents on politics , military, professional, logistics - technology. In addition, the training class was organized to go on field trips to two locations: Lam Kinh Special National Monument and Sam Son Border Guard Station. This is an opportunity for the border protection forces of the two sides to exchange culture, visit the model and activities of the Vietnam Border Guard Station.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Colonel Le Van Nam, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard congratulated and commended the achievements of the trainees.

Faced with the increasing requirements and tasks of border management and protection of each country; at the same time, there must be international cooperation on border protection, close coordination between the forces and specialized units protecting the two borders to resolve related issues, the Deputy Commander of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command requested that the border protection forces of the two sides continue to carry out a number of key tasks: Focus on propagating and educating officers, soldiers and people about the tradition of solidarity and friendship, especially between the two Parties, two States and people of the two countries. Coordinate to maintain effective implementation of the Agreement on land border regulations and border gates, the Protocol on the Vietnam - Laos border and border markers, and cooperation agreements of the two sides. Properly resolve incidents related to the two sides of the border; strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the authorities, armed forces and people of the two sides of the border.

Border protection units on both sides strengthen working measures to grasp and exchange information; hold regular and ad hoc meetings, coordinate bilateral patrols to protect the border and national border markers. Organize and participate in training and exchange experiences on border protection to enhance the capacity to perform border protection tasks for the border protection forces of the two provinces.

This training course has helped trainees better understand the foreign policies and guidelines of the Party and State of Vietnam in the cause of national construction and protection in the new period; reviewed the history of the special traditional friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos in general and the people of Thanh Hoa - Hua Phan provinces in particular; at the same time, equipped comrades with basic knowledge of politics, military, professional, logistics - technology in performing the tasks of the Vietnam Border Guard force and fostered awareness of national borders, territories, the Agreement on border management regulations and land border gates between Vietnam and Laos.

This is the basis for the trainees to study, apply, and supplement the content and methods of organizing and commanding, implementing functions and tasks in border protection work of the neighboring country and coordinate in maintaining the effective implementation of the Agreement on border management regulations and cooperation agreements between the two countries. This training session is an opportunity to strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the border protection forces of Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan provinces.
