Can Tho City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Hieu appointed Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, 49 years old, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, was assigned by the Politburo to be Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu was born in 1976, from Binh Dinh, has a master's degree in Educational Management, a bachelor's degree in Law, and a bachelor's degree in Administration. In January 2016, he was elected as an alternate member of the Party Central Committee.

Previously, he served as Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Secretary of District 2 Party Committee; Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee and Secretary of District 5 Party Committee from May 2020 to January 2021.

From January 2021, he was appointed as Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. In June 2022, he held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

In May 2023, Mr. Hieu held the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee until now.
