Secretary of Uong Bi City Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Cuong holds the position of Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh province

On January 29, at the Quang Ninh Provincial Conference Center, the 14th Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council held its 17th session to carry out the election process for the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, delegates of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province voted to elect Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, delegate of the Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Uong Bi City (Quang Ninh province), to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

With 100% of the delegates present at the meeting, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong was elected as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for the 2021-2026 term.

The Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue.

Previously, implementing Regulation No. 80 of the Politburo on decentralization of cadre management and appointment and introduction of candidates, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee carried out a 5-step personnel introduction process. At the conferences, 100% of the delegates present unanimously recommended Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong to be elected as Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong was born in 1975, hometown Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province. Mr. Cuong joined the Party in 2005, has a Bachelor's degree in Law, Master's degree in Law, and Advanced degree in Political Theory.

The new Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has held the positions of Deputy Chief of the Office of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Director of the Department of Justice of Quang Ninh province, Secretary of the City Party Committee - Chairman of the People's Council of Uong Bi city.

Also at this session, delegates of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province voted to elect additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, Chief Inspector of the province, with 100% of the votes.
