On May 25, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province informed that Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, signed a decision approving the project to develop human resources for the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, and network safety and security for the period 2025 - 2030.
The goal of this project is to train and develop human resources in the fields of semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and safety.
Meet the practical needs of businesses and the labor market in this province.
At the same time, orienting to build Binh Dinh into a leading center for training, research and application of high technology.
Contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the digital economy and high-tech industry in Vietnam.
According to the above project, in the period of 2025 - 2030, Binh Dinh province aims to train at least 7,500 human resources in related industries.
Specifically: training more than 4,000 bachelors and engineers in the fields of microchip design, microchip packaging and testing, AI, network safety and security. In addition, striving to train about 1,000 practical engineers in this field.
The project also aims to provide short-term training to improve knowledge for 2,500 engineers and bachelors in fields such as electronics - telecommunications, electrical engineering, automation, information technology, etc. Improve the qualifications of 95 lecturers and train 5 PhDs in semiconductor industry, AI, safety and network security.
Regarding facilities, Binh Dinh province will build a fully equipped shared semiconductor laboratory system to serve training and research in design, packaging and testing stages. This semiconductor laboratory is expected to be located at Quy Nhon University with an investment cost of 120 billion VND.
To implement the above project, educational institutions and universities in Binh Dinh will open new training majors, update training programs of related majors and strengthen training cooperation with domestic and foreign universities with strengths in the above fields.
