The Council for Allocating Import Tariff Quotas for Sugar in 2024 by Auction has issued a Notice on the organization of allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2024 by auction on August 27, 2024 for relevant traders, organizations and individuals to implement.

Pursuant to Circular No. 11/2022/TT-BCT dated June 27, 2022 of the Minister of Industry and Trade regulating the allocation of import tariff quotas for sugar products by auction method, Decision No. 2226/QD-BCT dated August 20, 2024 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on the quantity, time and method of allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2024, Decision No. 2227/QD-BCT dated August 20, 2024 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on the establishment of the Council for allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2024 by auction method, the Council for allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2024 by auction method has issued a Notice on the organization of allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2024 by auction method on August 27, 2024 for relevant traders, organizations and individuals. implementation organization

Accordingly, traders directly using sugar as raw material for production and traders using raw sugar to produce refined sugar are proposed to allocate import tariff quotas for sugar by auction method (according to regulations in Article 3 of Circular No. 11/2022/TT-BCT dated June 27, 2022 of the Minister of Industry and Trade).

The amount of import tariff quota for sugar (HS code 17.01) allocated in 2024 by auction is 126,000 tons (one hundred twenty-six thousand tons).

Starting price is 2,100,000 VND/ton, step price is 50,000 VND/ton, deposit: (starting price x quantity of sugar registered for import tariff quota allocation) x 10%.

The dossier requesting the allocation of import tariff quotas for sugar in 2024 by auction method shall be implemented according to the provisions of the Notice.

The time to receive the documents is calculated according to the official dispatch stamp of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from 08:00 on August 29, 2024 to 17:00 on September 10, 2024.

Previously, the 2023 sugar import tariff quota allocation session by auction was successful with 107,000 tons of sugar allocated to 8 traders.
