Ministry of Education and Training announced scores, nearly 1,000 students failed graduation this year

At 8:00 a.m. this morning, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2025 High School Graduation Exam scores. The 2025 High School Graduation Exam results showed that nationwide, 936 candidates received failing scores (below 1).

According to the regulations, candidates with failing scores will fail to graduate this year.

Specifically, 777 students failed the Math exam, 10 times higher than last year and also the subject with the highest number of failed candidates. In this year's exam, Math and Literature are two compulsory subjects.

There were 1,126,172 candidates taking the Math exam, and the average score this year was also a record low at only 4.78. With this score, Math became the exam subject with the lowest average score of all subjects this year and the only subject with an average score below 5.

Looking deeper, nationwide there are more than 635,000 students with math test scores below average, accounting for more than 56%, while last year this number was only more than 17%.

The subject with the second highest number of failing candidates after Math is Literature, with 87 candidates.

Next is English with 28 candidates.

This morning, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2025 High School Graduation Exam scores for more than 1 million candidates nationwide. After knowing the results, if there are still concerns about the scores, all candidates have the right to appeal the exam. The time to receive appeal applications is 10 days at the place where the candidate registered to take the exam.
