A Hanoi candidate who cheated on the exam had his high school diploma revoked.

The leaders of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training decided to cancel the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and revoke the graduation certificate of NVK, born in 2007.

NVK studied at Dan Phuong High School, exam session on June 26, 2025 with registration number 0109492*, exam room number 3909.

After the exam ended, this male student was awarded a high school diploma and a certificate number, issued on September 23, 2025, by the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. However, the Department later canceled the exam results and revoked the high school diploma because NVK used a phone in the exam room, committing cheating during the exam.

High School Graduation Exam takes place from June 2025.

According to the regulations, the candidate violated point b, clause 4, Article 21 of the Examination Regulations and point a, clause 1, Article 25 of the Regulations on management of diplomas and certificates as announced in Official Dispatch No. 6891 of the investigation security agency, Hanoi City Police.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requests that NVK be responsible for returning his/her graduation certificate. Dan Phuong High School is responsible for notifying NVK of the decision and adjusting the information in the archives of the High School Graduation Exam on June 26, 2025 at the school.

The Examination Management and Education Quality Assessment Department of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is responsible for canceling the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and withdrawing and canceling the 2025 graduation certificates of NVK candidates; adjusting the information in the original records kept at the Department about the High School Graduation Exam session of June 26, 2025 and reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the exam took place in June 2025, but it has only now canceled the exam results and revoked the candidates' graduation certificates because it has to wait for the results of the investigation agency's verification. Once these results are available, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will proceed with the steps to cancel the exam results and revoke the graduation certificates according to the procedure.
