Domestic rice prices remain stable in many localities.
The rice price market in the Mekong Delta today recorded a downward trend in some export raw materials.
Exported raw rice OM 5451 decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 8,100 - 8,300 VND/kg. Soft Soc raw rice decreased sharply by 350 VND/kg, down to 7,300 - 7,450 VND/kg.
Other raw materials such as IR 504 (VND 7,550 - 7,650/kg), CL 555 (VND 7,340 - 7,450/kg), Dai Thom 8 (VND 8,700 - 8,900/kg) and OM 18 (VND 8,500 - 8,600/kg) kept stable prices.
Finished rice IR 504 fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.
Bran and broken rice by-product OM 5451 fluctuates 7,400 - 10,000 VND/kg.
Trading in localities is taking place regularly, with little fluctuation in prices of all types of rice. In Can Tho, warehouses still buy fragrant and sticky rice. In An Giang , large warehouses buy regularly but carefully select OM 5451 and OM 18 rice.

At retail markets, prices of all types of rice remained unchanged from yesterday. Nang Nhen rice had the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg. Regular rice fluctuated between VND11,000 and VND12,000/kg, while Jasmine fragrant rice was at VND16,000 and VND18,000/kg.
Similar to rice, fresh rice prices according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province remain stable:
IR 50404 rice fluctuates between 5,100 - 5,300 VND/kg.
Dai Thom 8 and OM 18 rice are both at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg.
Fresh rice OM 5451 fluctuates between 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg.
Rice trading in many localities has slowed down, mainly buyers taking rice that they have paid in advance. In An Giang, farmers continue to hold prices high, causing transactions to slow down. In Dong Thap, Can Tho , Vinh Long and Tay Ninh provinces, the rice harvest is still low, the demand for fragrant and sticky rice is quite good, so the price fluctuates little.
Rice export prices remain unchanged, international market is divided
Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from the previous session. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 5% broken fragrant rice fluctuated between 420 and 440 USD/ton, and Jasmine rice fluctuated between 447 and 451 USD/ton.
Rice exports are expected to fall 11.5% this year to around 8 million tonnes, the VFA chairman said, citing a sharp drop in exports to the Philippines. Customs figures confirmed that rice exports to the Philippines fell 18.5% in the first 10 months of the year to 2.96 million tonnes.
While Vietnam’s rice exports are expected to decline, domestic rice prices in Bangladesh remain high. This is despite the country having ample reserves and a bumper harvest. The price of premium rice in Bangladesh is currently at 80-85 taka/kg.
The country has imported 1.437 million tonnes of rice in 2024–2025 and another 500,000 tonnes from July to November, but rice prices have shown no signs of abating.
