The Ministry of Education and Training has just responded to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper regarding the case of a student from the London College of Design and Fashion who claimed that after completing her master's degree, she learned that her bachelor's degree was not accepted by the Ministry.
Specifically, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, as of now, the London College of Design and Fashion has not been granted a license to operate overseas training partnerships for any of its programs or professions.
The registration of joint training programs with foreign countries is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Vocational Education and Training Law of 2014 and related legal documents.
Specifically, according to the Vocational Education Law of 2014 and related previous decrees, vocational education institutions are required to convert their training programs and vocational training operating licenses into vocational education registration certificates.
However, upon reviewing the period from 2015 to the present, the General Department of Vocational Education (now the Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education, Ministry of Education and Training) has not received any application from the London College of Design and Fashion requesting the conversion of its vocational education registration certificate in accordance with the above regulations.

Previously, as reported by Dan Tri newspaper , a number of students from the London College of Design and Fashion - Hanoi were surprised when the Ministry of Education and Training refused to authenticate their university degrees issued by Liverpool John Moores University.
The reason for rejection is that the online undergraduate program in Fashion: Design and Communication offered by Liverpool John Moores University has not been licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training for students residing and studying in Vietnam. There have been cases where students only discovered their undergraduate degree was not recognized after completing their master's degree.
