- On the morning of December 2, a working delegation of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions led by Comrade Dao Ngoc Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, visited and presented gifts to ethnic minorities, poor households, near-poor households and prestigious people affected by storm No. 11 in Yen Binh commune, Lang Son province.

The delegation included comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee; comrade Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

Yen Binh commune leaders report on damage situation

Yen Binh commune was heavily affected by the recent storm No. 11, with many houses having their roofs blown off, many areas of crops damaged, rural traffic systems, public works, and people's property damaged with a total loss of more than 489 billion VND. After the flood receded, the Party Committee and the government of Yen Binh commune quickly implemented measures to overcome the consequences caused by the storm, contributing to stabilizing the lives of local people.

Speaking at the program, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung shared the difficulties of the people in the recent storm No. 11, and highly appreciated the efforts and proactiveness of the Party Committee and authorities from the province to the commune in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods. He requested that local Party Committees and authorities continue to review and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, not to let people lack food; continue to review and support the elimination of temporary houses and dilapidated houses arising after storms and floods; take care of livelihoods, create jobs and stable income for people. At the same time, focus on restoring infrastructure ; being close to the people, shortening the time to handle administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for people to restore production, develop the economy and stabilize their lives.

During the program, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung presented 500 million VND to support people in Yen Binh commune to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, including directly giving 20 gifts to poor and near-poor households and prestigious people affected by storms and floods with a total value of 100 million VND.
