Minister of Planning and Investment presents gifts to Dien Bien soldiers and scholarships to students

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung visits and presents gifts to soldiers at Dien Bien Phu.

To commemorate and express gratitude for the immense contributions of the soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung cordially visited and presented 50 gifts to the Dien Bien Phu soldiers.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung donated funds for the construction of a pedestrian bridge in Vang Ho village, Nam Vi commune.

Sharing and encouraging the students and teachers of Nam Vi Ethnic Boarding Primary School (Muong Nha District), the Minister presented gifts, scholarships, and support for upgrading the school's facilities worth 300 million VND. The Minister also donated funds for the construction of a pedestrian bridge in Vang Ho village, Nam Vi commune (Muong Nha District) worth 900 million VND. On this occasion, the Ministry's Trade Union and Youth Union donated 200 warm blankets to the students of Nam Vi Ethnic Boarding Primary School; the Faculty of Engineering, University of Transport, donated 50 scholarships worth 50 million VND to the students of Nam Vi Ethnic Boarding Primary School.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung expressed his emotion and excitement at visiting Dien Bien province at a time when the whole country is commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. Returning to the historic land of Dien Bien Phu is also an opportunity to educate the younger generation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment about revolutionary traditions; to better understand and express boundless gratitude and profound appreciation for the immense contributions of the heroes and martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland. The present generation needs to uphold these traditions to build a more prosperous, integrated, and developed country. Minister Nguyen Chi Dung hoped that the Dien Bien Phu veterans would always maintain good health to witness the renewal, development, and achievements in the country's construction and development in the future.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do planted a commemorative tree at the Martyrs' Memorial Temple in the Dien Bien Phu battlefield.

Earlier, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and his delegation planted a commemorative tree at the Martyrs' Memorial in the Dien Bien Phu battlefield and visited the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum.
