The Chinese film "Nezha: The Devil Child Causes Havoc in the Sea" has released its first trailer, featuring special effects depicting underwater battles.
On January 7th, the production team released a video introducing the main characters and the story's theme. The film continues the story from the first part (2019). After a tribulation, Nezha and Ao Bing (sons of the East Sea Dragon King) retain their souls, but their bodies will be destroyed soon. Immortal Taiyi Zhenren plans to use a seven-colored lotus flower to help Nezha and Ao Bing reunite their souls and bodies. However, at this point, Nezha faces a new enemy.
Part two introduces a new character, the Dragon King of the East Sea. The film depicts a series of battles under the sea and in the air, showcasing the power of monsters.
On Weibo, thousands of viewers praised the smooth and vivid special effects and impressive character designs. Nezha's line to the villain who brought disaster to the people was widely shared: "It doesn't matter whether I live or die, I only need you to die."
Previously, in the first part, many lines of dialogue also became famous on social media. The film, released in summer 2019, grossed 5 billion yuan (682 million USD), ranking fourth among the highest-grossing films in Chinese box office history. On online forums... Douban, Nearly two million viewers gave the first part an 8.4/10 rating.
According to Xinhua , a film highly praised by critics for its content. The character Nezha, upon birth, is hated and considered a demon causing trouble. "You consider me a demon, I will show you what a real demon is!" True to his word, Nezha is mischievous and destructive, causing fear and hatred among people. He only receives trust and love from his parents.
The character says: "Human prejudice is a mountain. But my destiny is..." It is up to us to decide. "It's not God's fault. Whether it's a demon or an immortal, only I can decide." Thanks to his parents' love, "good" gradually triumphed over "demon" in Nezha's soul. From then on, he eradicated evil and protected his villagers.
The animated series about Nezha was directed by Sui Gao (born in 1980, real name Yang Yu). Initially, the work was not well-received by investors, and dozens of large companies refused to cooperate with Sui Gao. The director had to divide the special effects scenes among 20 small and medium-sized companies to handle, and then assemble them. Parts one and two each took 5 years to produce.
