Ca Mau launches a high-intensity campaign to attack and suppress crime and ensure security and order.

On the morning of December 12th, the Provincial Police launched a high-intensity campaign to attack and suppress crime, ensuring absolute security and safety for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the elections for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; before, during, and after the New Year and Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse 2026); major national events and early year festivals.

Attending the ceremony were Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Ho Thanh Thuy; and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Nhung.

Over the past period, the provincial armed forces have effectively played a pivotal role in protecting the Party, the government, and the people, proactively advising and proposing many appropriate policies and solutions tailored to the actual situation to help make security and defense work increasingly effective and of higher quality; notably, in crime prevention and control, with the crime investigation and discovery rate reaching over 70%.

Given that the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 will see many major political events, criminals and lawbreakers will exploit loopholes and shortcomings, increasing their activities and negatively impacting security and public order.

Based on this, the Provincial Police have implemented a plan to thoroughly combat, suppress, and handle crime. The main objectives are to firmly grasp the situation early, from afar, and at the grassroots level; to resolve conflicts, disputes, and complaints stably, preventing them from becoming hotspots of security and order; to achieve a crime investigation and discovery rate of 80% or higher; and to ensure the security and safety of key targets, important projects, events, festivals, and visits and working trips of Party and State leaders in the province... Thereby, contributing to creating a solid foundation for socio- economic activities and the people's enjoyment of the Spring Festival and Tet holiday.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi praised and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the proud achievements of the provincial armed forces in the past period. He also requested that the armed forces in the province continue to uphold their sense of responsibility and build strong political determination to effectively carry out the intensified crime suppression campaign; focus on patrolling and controlling, maintaining security and order in each area, especially key routes and locations. He emphasized close coordination between the police, military, and local security forces, proactively implementing plans to handle all situations, preventing any passive or unexpected events; and strengthening propaganda and mobilization of the people to leverage the strength of the entire population in preventing, detecting, and reporting crimes.

Immediately after the ceremony, the armed forces in the province marched and conducted propaganda, striving to strike accurately and effectively, suppressing all types of crime to prevent them from operating, and ensuring absolute safety for the 14th National Congress of the Party; the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; before, during, and after the New Year and Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026; major national events and early year festivals.
