Singer Hoa Minzy released MV "Pain in the middle of peace"

The music video "The Pain of Peace " by Hoa Minzy was released on the evening of August 22nd.

At the MV launch event in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of August 22nd, Hoa Minzy revealed that during her visit to Quang Tri on July 27th, she heard stories of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, which inspired her to create this product. The singer portrays a wife whose husband participated in the 81-day and 81-night battle to defend the ancient citadel of Quang Tri.

"The Pain Amidst Peace," directed by Nhu Dang, is set against the backdrop of Truong Son Cemetery in Quang Tri and the ancient village of Duong Lam (Hanoi). The team incorporated several scenes from the film "Red Rain" into the video to depict the brutality of war. The song was composed by musician Nguyen Van Chung after nearly a week of research and watching the film to develop the emotional connection.

Hòa Minzy also invited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Lê Thị Minh Thủy to attend the press conference. Her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Dương Văn Thanh, worked at the 910th Air Force Regiment, Nha Trang Air Force Officer School (Khánh Hòa). In 2005, while on duty training trainees on a jet training aircraft, he experienced a technical malfunction and died. In 2007, he was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. Her son, pilot Dương Lê Minh, also died while on a flight training mission. In 2018, she was awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother by the State at just over 50 years old.

Hoa Minzy called on everyone to stand up to pay tribute to the Vietnamese Heroic Mother. Ms. Le Thi Minh Thuy burst into tears when receiving portraits of her husband and children from the singer.

At the event, many Vietnamese stars such as singer Dan Truong, Chi Pu, Ngo Kien Huy, actors Ly Nha Ky, Tien Luat, Huynh Lap, MC Thanh Bach, and Miss Tieu Vy came to congratulate Hoa Minzy.

"Red Rain," produced by the People's Army Film Studio and released on September 2nd, is set against the backdrop of the battle to defend the Quang Tri citadel from June 28, 1972, to September 16, 1972. Directed by Dang Thai Huyen, the film is based on the novel of the same name by writer Chu Lai, which won the A prize in the 2016 Vietnam Writers Association Novel Competition and the A prize in the Ministry of National Defense Award. The cast includes many young actors such as Do Nhat Hoang, Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Phuong Nam, Lam Thanh Nha, Dinh Khang, Hoang Long, and Nguyen Hung.

Hòa Minzy, whose real name is Nguyễn Thị Hòa, is from Bắc Ninh province and won the Star Academy competition in 2014. She has several popular songs, including "Rời bỏ" (by Vũ Huy Hoàng), "Không thể cùng nhau suốt kiếp" (by Mr. Siro), and "Bật tình yêu lên" (by Tăng Duy Tân).
