In just one night, wildfires from the Pacific Palisades reduced the seaside city and its million-dollar villas with stunning views to ashes. Numerous ultra-wealthy individuals and Hollywood superstars, such as Paris Hilton and Anthony Hopkins, lost their homes in the blaze.
According to The Guardian , the most devastating wildfire in decades in Los Angeles (California, USA) has ravaged a vast area in the Palisades, destroying numerous homes, including luxurious mansions belonging to the super-rich and Hollywood stars.
The fire spread to Hollywood Hills, and thick smoke stretched all the way to Beverly Hills.
According to Yahoo News , approximately 1,000 structures were demolished in the seaside city of Palisades, home to the opulent residences of movie stars. It is considered one of California's wealthiest neighborhoods.

On Instagram , American model and singer Paris Hilton (1981) shared her anguish at seeing her Malibu home burned down live on television.

Pacific Palisades is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US, with the average home price around $3.7 million. Many celebrities own homes here and in the surrounding area, including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, director Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Billy Crystal, Sugar Ray Leonard, James Woods, Mandy Moore, Anthony Hopkins, Spencer Pratt, Cameron Mathison, and many others.

Film producer Anita Verma-Lallian's $8.5 million home in Pacific Palisades is also believed to have been destroyed in the fire. Real estate investor Kurt Rappaport also owns a $22.5 million mansion in Malibu, which is likely to have been damaged as well.

Pacific Palisades is renowned for its beautiful scenery and ocean views, but it faces a significant risk of wildfires due to its location amidst large natural parks with abundant vegetation that is highly flammable during the dry season.
Many once opulent mansions are now reduced to charred window frames, pools covered in ash, and burnt-out sports cars scattered along the roads.

The wildfires in Los Angeles were caused by strong, storm-like winds and a prolonged drought.
According to The Guardian , initial estimates suggest these fires could cause tens of billions of dollars in damage.
