On the afternoon of December 27th, the atmosphere at the Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal construction site was one of intense work. The project is currently in its "final sprint" phase, aiming for completion before April 30th, 2025.

The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) stated that Tan Son Nhat is one of the three most important and largest airports in the country. The construction of Terminal 3, with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, aims to alleviate the burden on the currently overloaded Terminal 1 and improve service quality for the public.

Currently, the T3 terminal construction project has completed the concrete and structural work. Specifically, the 7,500-ton steel roof structure and 45,000 aluminum roof are 100% complete. The glass curtain wall is 94% complete and is expected to be fully finished in December 2024.

At the same time, many other components of Terminal 3 have been and are being completed. To date, the total volume has reached approximately 83%, with the goal of completing everything by April 30, 2025, for operation and exploitation.

Mr. Le Khac Hong, head of the Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal project management board, said the project has achieved good results in many aspects, including progress, construction quality, and labor safety.

"To inaugurate the project on April 30, 2025, we must complete it one month earlier, meaning we only have 90 days left to finish the construction. This is a huge challenge, requiring all relevant units to work together more diligently, strive harder, and be more determined."

Therefore, the site management team needs to pay special attention to and promptly resolve any problems arising during construction, creating the most favorable conditions for the contractors.

"We will mobilize all available resources and implement solutions to ensure the complete installation of equipment and the safe and high-quality commissioning and acceptance testing, guaranteeing the project's completion and commissioning," Mr. Hong said.
