On December 8th, Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Department of Finance, Dang Dinh Duc, announced that the headquarters of the Vietnam International Finance Corporation (VIFC) in Da Nang has been largely completed.
VIFC's office is located on the 1st and 5th floors of building ICT1 - Da Nang Software Park No. 2, Hai Chau Ward.
The first floor of the ICT1 building – Da Nang Software Park No. 2 houses the headquarters of the Vietnam International Finance Centre.
The office of the Vietnam International Finance Centre is located in Da Nang City.
Mr. Duc stated that the Government Decree on the establishment of the Financial Center has not yet been issued. However, according to the plan, the Government is expected to announce the decision on its establishment on December 19th.
Immediately after the government's announcement, Da Nang will hold the opening ceremony for the Financial Center. This headquarters will be used for the executive office and some initial members of the Center.
The renovation of the workspace on the first and fifth floors is now largely complete.
According to Mr. Duc, this is just the initial phase. The next phase will depend on the completion of the 20-story building, which is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2026. Once the building is operational, all members of the Financial Center will be relocated to work there.
The headquarters of the Vietnam International Finance Centre is located in Da Nang.
Software Park No. 2 comprises ICT1, ICT2, and ICT buildings, constructed on a total land area of 2.8 hectares in Hai Chau ward.
In terms of function, the Financial Center's executive body will be directly responsible for all areas as stipulated in the establishment decree, including licensing and the assessment of related applications.
Previously, on October 24th, the Da Nang City People's Committee issued a document agreeing to renovate the workspace on the first and fifth floors of the ICT1 building – Software Park No. 2 (phase 1) to serve as the headquarters of the Vietnam International Finance Center in Da Nang. The city also agreed in principle to use the 20-story ICT building to host the activities of the Vietnam International Finance Center in Da Nang.
In addition, the city has also allocated a plot of land of over 6 hectares located near the sea, along Vo Van Kiet - Vo Nguyen Giap road, to build the core area of the International Financial Center.
The International Finance Center in Da Nang is oriented towards developing key pillars such as green finance, trade finance supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, financial services for non-residents, cross-border trade, along with pilot areas for digital assets, cryptocurrencies, and digital payments.
In addition, the center will prioritize attracting foreign investment funds, small-scale venture capital funds, developing financial technology (fintech) and innovative startups in the financial sector, while building an ecosystem of specialized legal and consulting services.
