Cam Ranh Port welcomes 4,800 cruise ship tourists for the first time

On December 13th, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism announced its coordination with other units to organize the welcoming ceremony for the Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship arriving at Cam Ranh International Port.

On December 13th, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism announced its coordination with other units to organize the welcoming ceremony for the Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship arriving at Cam Ranh International Port. Mr. Tran Hoa Nam, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, was present to welcome and present flowers to the first international tourists disembarking at Cam Ranh International Port and to the ship's crew.

The mega-cruise ship Spectrum of the Seas docked in Nha Trang in early 2024 carrying 4,400 passengers. During its first visit to Cam Ranh International Port, this largest cruise ship in Asia brought nearly 4,800 tourists from many countries who disembarked to explore destinations in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. This is the largest number of tourists disembarking to visit Khanh Hoa recorded so far this year. According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, after docking at Cam Ranh International Port, tourists participated in various tours including city tours of Nha Trang, tours of the outskirts of Nha Trang, cyclo tours of Nha Trang city, and tours of the Cai River and surrounding villages. The organizers also arranged shuttle services from Cam Ranh International Port to resorts in Cam Ranh, allowing tourists to freely choose to visit other destinations. In 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed 28 international cruise ships with 57,816 tourists disembarking, marking a spectacular return of cruise tourism. Although Nha Trang Port had to temporarily suspend receiving international cruise ships, thanks to the efforts of the tourism industry, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, and various units and businesses, cruise ships continued to be transferred to Cam Ranh International Port.
