Today, June 25th, the Quang Tri Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Writers Association held a book launch ceremony for "Aspiration for Peace ," Volume 1. Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, attended the event.
Introducing the first volume of the poetry, prose, and literary criticism book "Aspiration for Peace," Nguyen Huu Quy, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association branch in Quang Tri province, affirmed that no place is more deserving than Quang Tri when speaking of the aspiration for peace. Every inch of land, every mountain, every river in Quang Tri bears the mark of war, and the echoes of war have not yet faded in this land; writing about war is also writing about peace.

With contributions from over 55 renowned writers, poets, literary theorists, photographers, and journalists from Quang Tri province, both during the war and among contemporary authors, the book "Aspiration for Peace," Volume 1, recently published by the Quang Tri Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Writers Association, aims to promote the first-ever Peace Festival held in Quang Tri province, carrying the message "Joining hands to build world peace."
The book was printed in 1,100 copies, measuring 14.5x20.5cm and 370 pages thick, with 800 copies sent to serve the Peace Festival. The book includes a dialogue between writers of the Vietnam Writers Association branch in Quang Tri province and the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Van Hung, discussing "Quang Tri and the Aspiration for Peace" in its past, present, and future; an essay titled "Quang Tri, the Land and the Sky" by the Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, Nguyen Quang Thieu; representative works by famous deceased writers and poets from Quang Tri such as Che Lan Vien, Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong, Xuan Duc, Cao Hanh; and a collection of works by writers and poets nationwide.

In the short story category, the contributions include writers such as Nguyen Hiep, Nguyen Dinh Tu, Pham Xuan Hung, Van Xuong, Nguyen Hai Yen, Suong Nguyet Minh, Phan Dinh Minh, Nguyen Thi Le Na, Nguyen Ngoc Chien, and Nguyen Quang Lap. The essay category includes contributions from authors Luong Ngoc An, Minh Tu, Nguyen Hoan, Dao Tam Thanh, Van Cong Hung, Pham Xuan Dung, Hoang Cong Danh, Nhuy Nguyen, and Le Duc Duc.
The poetry section features authors such as Huu Thinh, Nguyen Duc Mau, Anh Ngoc, Vuong Trong, Le Thi May, Hoang Vu Thuat, Nguyen Van Dung, Nguyen Huu Quy, Phan Hoang, Tran Quang Dao, Tran Vu Long, Vo Van Hoa, Ho Si Binh, Vo Van Luyen, Mai Nam Thang, Doan Van Mat... The aspiration for peace is emphasized throughout the book, and the image of Quang Tri homeland is vividly portrayed in every detail and word.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, highly appreciated the excellent and meaningful theme of the first volume of the book "Aspiration for Peace" published by the Quang Tri Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Writers Association. He also expressed his hope that writers and poets would continue to explore the theme of revolutionary war, opening up avenues for writing about the origins and values of peace, nurturing lasting peace for future generations.
After the war, Quang Tri province, on behalf of the entire nation, did a good job of showing gratitude and caring for the graves of the heroic martyrs. Besides the sacrifices made by the entire nation for Quang Tri and Quang Tri for the entire nation, artists and writers need to continue doing good work in developing Quang Tri, driven by the aspiration for peace, extending the love for Quang Tri and the love for peace.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, also requested that Party committees, government agencies, and departments in the province provide additional support, both materially and spiritually, to help the Vietnam Writers Association branch in Quang Tri province operate more effectively and continue to produce excellent works contributing to the strong development of the heroic homeland of Quang Tri.
