Rain in District 8
Rainfall is forecast to be generally between 3-10 mm, with some areas receiving over 20 mm. During thunderstorms, be wary of tornadoes, hailstorms, and strong gusts of wind (approximately level 5-7, 8-17 m/s), with heavy rain causing localized flooding.
According to forecasts, Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces and cities will continue to experience rain in February, despite being in the dry season. However, these rains are mainly influenced by a low-pressure trough offshore, so there is nothing unusual about them.
Rainfall trends in Ho Chi Minh City today
The continental cold high pressure system is weakening slowly; the equatorial trough in the south, connected to the low pressure system over the offshore waters of South Central Vietnam, is weakening and dissipating. At higher altitudes, the subtropical high pressure system extending across Central Vietnam remains stable.
