The 2nd Vietnam-Laos Border Guard Young Officers Exchange Program, 2023, was held in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces from June 26 to 30, with the participation of leaders from the Political Department of the Border Guard, Ministry of National Defence of Vietnam and the Border Guard Department, General Staff of the Lao People's Army, along with nearly 100 delegates of young border guard officers from both countries.

During the program, delegates and young officers from both sides will participate in many practical activities such as: disseminating legal information to the people on both sides of the Vietnam-Laos border; the 2nd Youth Forum and Young Officers Exchange in 2023 with the theme: "Young Border Guard Officers of Vietnam and Laos strengthen coordination and work together to build a peaceful , friendly, cooperative and developing border"; sports exchanges and competitions; visiting historical and cultural sites in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces; and planting friendship trees at the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Post.

Following the welcoming ceremony for the Lao Border Guard delegation entering Vietnam, the young officers from both border guard forces were present in Son Kim 1 commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province to participate in a legal awareness session for the people living in Son Kim 1 commune and Thoong Pe village, Cam Cot district, Bolikhamsai province (Laos).

Border guards from both countries presented gifts and scholarships to underprivileged students on both sides of the Vietnam-Laos border.

The legal awareness campaign for people on both sides of the border officially kicks off a series of activities within the 2nd Vietnam-Laos Border Guard Young Officers Exchange Program. Tomorrow (June 27), young border guard officers from both sides will hold a seminar with many important topics and participate in other activities.
