Shocked by the ratio of 1 to 80 to enter a police academy

In 2025, the People's Public Security Academy is the police school with the largest number of candidates registering for the exam with nearly 8,000 students, accounting for more than 1/3 of the number of candidates taking the exam to enter police schools this year.

Major Trieu Thanh Dat, Chief Specialist of the Training Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that in previous years, this was also the police school with the largest number of candidates taking the exam.

With a quota of 100 students majoring in Party building and state administration, including candidates admitted directly (about 10 quotas), the competition ratio to enter the Academy this year is 1 to more than 80.

Considering both the Northern and Southern regions, the number of candidates registering to take the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam to enter the Academy using the CA4 exam code (including the subjects of Literature, Mathematics, History, English and Geography) accounts for an overwhelming proportion with about 7,800 candidates.

Due to the large number of candidates, the People's Public Security Academy organized 10 testing locations in both the North and the South. Of which, 5 testing locations in the North for candidates from Hue and beyond were organized at the People's Public Security Academy, People's Security College I andeducational institutions in Soc Son (Hanoi).

5 testing locations in the southern region from Da Nang and below are located at the People's Police College II and educational facilities in Long Binh (HCMC).

2025 is also the year when the number of candidates taking the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam is a record high, with about 23,000 students. Compared to last year, this year's number of candidates is about 5,000 more. Meanwhile, 8 police schools only recruited about 2,350 students. The People's Security Academy recruited the most with 540 students, followed by the People's Police Academy with 530 students.

The Ministry of Public Security’s assessment exam will take place on July 6. This exam score will be combined with the results of the high school graduation exam or international language certificates. In addition, this group of schools also directly admits students who have won national and international competitions according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Public Security.
