"If I were to rate the opening ceremony that just took place, I would give it a 10/10," affirmed Thai Deputy Prime Minister Thamanat Phromphao.
Previously, the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games, held on the evening of December 9th at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, faced quite a few mixed reactions from the international media.
Meanwhile, the Thai media also pointed out several "flaws" in the opening ceremony. Nevertheless, some officials from the host nation of the SEA Games still highly praised this year's Southeast Asian Games opening ceremony.

According to Thai Deputy Prime Minister Thamanat Phromphao, he has heard about complaints regarding certain issues at this year's SEA Games. He affirmed that he will review and address these issues.
In particular, priority issues to be addressed include the transportation of sports teams during training and competition, logistics, and food.
Previously, several teams from the Vietnamese Sports Delegation complained about the poor quality of meals for the men's and women's football teams, and the arduous transportation for the women's football team from the hotel to the training ground and back. The women's volleyball team had to wait for hours to be transported from the airport to the hotel...
Some sports delegations from Muslim-majority countries have also expressed their need for meals that meet Islamic standards…
