President of Vietnam Boxing Federation has been out of work for months

(Dan Tri) - Information from the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) said that VBF President Luu Tu Bao has been in the US for many months and has not returned to Vietnam to manage the Federation's work.

Mr. Luu Tu Bao is the Chairman of VBF for the second term (2023-2028). He holds both American and Vietnamese citizenship.

According to information from VBF, Mr. Luu Tu Bao went to the US to attend to family matters at the end of February this year and has not yet returned to Vietnam.

According to information from VBF, while Mr. Luu Tu Bao is in the US, the management of VBF's affairs will be handled by the Vice President and General Secretary of VBF, Nguyen Duy Hung.

Tournaments organized by the VBF continued to take place during the absence of VBF President Luu Tu Bao. These included the National Teams Boxing Championship held in April and the National Youth Boxing Championship held in July.

Currently, the Sports and Physical Education sector is requesting the VBF to urgently hold a meeting, implement necessary tasks, and assign personnel to take over Mr. Luu Tu Bao's responsibilities during his absence.

Furthermore, information from VBF indicates that the VBF Executive Committee meeting will take place in early October. At this meeting, matters related to VBF's work during Mr. Luu Tu Bao's absence will be discussed.
